Wood-cuts in text; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 307 pages; No date given; circa 1874. Chatto & Windus published, London. As successor to the original Hotten imprint, with 1873 dated Hotten catalog at rear. This copy appears to date from 1873/74 almost immediately after Chatto assumed publishing rights with the full 20 plus page Camden Hotten 1873 illustrated catalog reamining as the endmatter. Binder's ticketof Leighton, Son & Hodge to the gutter of the rear pastedown. Soundly bound in original dark green cloth with pictorial designs inside a grid of nine in black to cover and titles in gilt to spine. Cloth lightly frayed and rubbed at spine. Some mild silverfish predation to the sizing of the cloth on the lower board and smaller areas of the upper. Slick brown endpages intact and sound in joints; several signatures starting at front edge. Copiously illustrated with some 300 wood-cuts in text/ Extensive catalog of Camden Hotten published titles at rear. Sound and decent with some fray to cloth at spine ends. G++ to VG-
