Trace silverfish evidence to pictorial endsheets. Mild internal split mid-book with two signatures starting slightly, but still attached. Damp line along the top, margin edge of the first and last 30 or so pages. Profusely illustrated colonial era India children's adventure tales with elaborate Victorian era illustrative qualities. Moderate wear but still decent. G++

This copy ex-library with original boards remaining but a basic and utitlitarian heavy green cloth rebacking done by University Library for stability. Boards bumped and rounded at corners. Half-title and title page (A) signature is loose and laid in. Frontispiece lacking and not present. Text contents complete and soundly bound with bright clean pages. Light institutional attachments and indicatios to front and rear endpages. Linene tape reinforcements in the inner hinges are stiff. With faults but a copy that could be attractively rebacked or rebound. Fair to good only, thus. Uncommon
