8vo 8" - 9" tall; 587 pages; Bound in full leather, but with both boards detached. Leather at spine browned and chipping. Front endpage toned and brittle along the edges. 2nd free endpage very handsomely adorned withy a large, geometric manuscript bookplate, of Abraham Keyser at Germantown, dated 1846. First several free endpages loose. Text block sound - with light to moderate foxing. Candidate for rebacking; notable for the fine handrendered bookplate. G+

Armorial bookplate with Fowler name and "Watch and Pray" motto is mounted to the front pastedown. VG copy

8vo 8" - 9" tall; 365 pages; Snugly bound in original light gray cloth with title lettering at spine and lettered garland design to cover in dark blue. Armorial engraved bookplate created by Elisha Brown Bird for Amelia Day Campbell Parker is mounted to the front pastedown. Cloth lightly crimped at spine ends; cloth at spine a trifle toned. Notable for the Bird designed bookplate. Amelia Day Campbell was a prominent civic and political figure whose second marriage was to Alton Brooks Parker, who was defeated as the Democrat Party candidate by by Theodore Roosevelt in the election of 1904. VG copy

12mo 7" - 7" tall; 270 pages; Bound in marbled paper boards and calf leather backstrip; probably rebacked and resewn in the mid 1800's. Lacking the final printed leaf of the 2nd part (pg 99/100) as well as front and rear endpages and half-title page. Mounted to the verso of the title page is a large manuscript bookplate partly in calligraphy- "Bernhard C. Wolff's Book presented by John R. Cooke, Esq." Wolff was involved in the revolutionary war as a teen, entered business in Chambersburg late 1700's and became a leading figure of the Reformed Church from 1820's to 1850. Earlier ownership in manuscript to title page of George Cooke. Later ownership bookplate to front pastedown of Theodore Appel. Handsome bookplate and intriquing provenance. Lacking the final printed leaf. Thus fair only

Distinctive fraktur style bookplate of highly regarded historian of early American folk art and architecture, Henry Kauffman, is mounted to the front pastedown. Cloth lightly crimped at spine ends with just light rub at extremities. Occasional light foxing to contetns; light foxing to front edge. Illustrated with photographs and drawings of designs. Solid attractive copy with notable association. VG or better

Loraine Leopold's manuscipt ownership to front endpage dated April 1952. No statement of edition. Notable for a rather finely designed and executed personal bookplate. G+
