Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; This listing is for the original dust jacket ONLY. Light green paper with title design and publisher ads and blurbs to other panels lettered in dark green. A nice clean copy of the jacket which was for some reason removed from the book and preserved. Mild toning only; a small nick to the bottom edge of the rear panel. VG or better

8vo 8" - 9" tall; This listing is for the original dust jacket ONLY. Color pictorial dust jacket retains publisher's $3.00 issue price to unclipped front flap. Issue date unknow, Front flap contains a detailed ummary of the book's contents, illustrations and approach. Rear jacket flap has blurbs for three other books in this series of Burgess natural History books while the rear cover has ad/catalog for 6 different Burgess series titles. Jacket is lightly rubbed at edges with just very mild toning to the whites. A vertical stress crease mid-spine where the jacket was folded after removal from the book. Original dust jacket (no book). VG to VG+

frontis; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 218 pages; Early printing, dated to 1927 by the list of Radio Boys titles on the rear jacket flap, ending with #10 - "...in Gold Valley" issued in 1927. A very well preserved copy in a sharp edged and uniformly bright pictorial dust jacket. Snugly bound in original blue cloth with title design in gray and dark blue. Just trace shelf rub to cloth at corner tips. Original dust jacket has just very mild shelf rub at edges with a short closed tear top edge rear panel and a few superficial nicks and rub spots at edges. No marks of any kind to book or jacket. A very handsome copy, easily the nicest we have handled. NF/NF

Jacket edge rubbed with some partial separation along the front flap edge, a few small edges chips, scrunch at foot of spine and a few short closed edge tears. Prior owner's faint ink ownership stamp to front pastedown. VG+/G++

8vo 8" - 9" tall; 317 pages; 1st American edition. Soundly bound and unmarked copy in original wraparound color pictorial dust jacket with $2 issue price intact to unclipped front flap. Some light to moderate damp mottling to the blue cloth along the front board edges, mild toning or foxing to cloth at spine. Front endpages with some foxing and moderate soiling; very short closed tear top edge of the title page. Dust jacket is uniformly bright with some light shelf rub to edges, toning/soiling to rear flap fold and a tiny snag to the front flap fold. Mild vertical stress crease to front flap and a few very short closed tears at edges. Some foxing to the inside surface along the spine. Still a remarkable bright and attractive original dust jacket; quite uncommon thus. G++/VG
