12mo 7" - 7" tall; 366 pages; Soundly bound in original full calf leather; red morocco title label lettered in gilt at spine. Endpages intact and complete. Leather lightly scuffed/rubbed at edges and surfaces; slight crazing to leather at spine and a few pin head and slightly smaller holes in the leather over the joints. Expected moderate spotting and toning to page stock. Solid and neat. Prior owner's period bookplate mounted to front pastedown. An uncommon imprint of this early collection of the Federal and State consitutions including Amendments to the Federal as well as Acts relating to government of the Northwest Territories and the District of Columbia. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 472 pages; Issues 1 -12; all that were published. Bound together in a mid/late 19th century 1/2 leather over marbled paper. Includes numbers 1 - 12 of this short lived monthly devoted to the concerns of the early American frontiersman. Much on brewing, cider making, horse and mule keeping, clearing and planting etc. Extensive and regular content devoted to education. Leather rubbed lightly over spine edges and at corner tips. Binding snug. Expected general toning to page stock. Damp line visible to front and bottom edges but with only a mild tide line visible among the first few leaves. Scattered light toning and foxing in the text, as expected. One leaf with a short closed tear and a small fingernail sized chip which has removed a few words from a passage. A few illustrations from woodcuts. Spine tooled in gilt "Miscellany Vol III" ; small penciled binder's tag tipped in over main title page. Quite uncommon early American magazine, especially so in its complete short run. Includes early abolitionist content. VG-

San Francisco 1906 First Edition Hardcover Good 
Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall; [no date given] Circa 1906. Hardcover in an oblong octavo format. No publisher or place given in this rushed to press photograph accounting of one of America's worst disasters. Illustrated paper covered boards with blue cloth backstrip, unlettered. Text block is side stapled, as issued. Profuse photo illustrated documentary of the conflagration, its effects and some views of buildings and vistas before the fire. Boards are rubbed at edges and moderately surface scarred. Cloth spine is worn but sound, pulled at crown with a short tear. Binding sound but shaken in the joints and notably weak at the rear internal hinge which is lacking the endsheet. Contents complete and clean. Quite uncommon with only five copies recorded in US Library collections. Includes probably 300 or so photograph illustrations. Good plus copy.

Two stout volumes, complete in original ribbed brown cloth with ruling and decorative design in blind to covers and spines; title lettering and pictorial seal still generally bright in gilt to spine. Both volumes snugly bound and generally neat with mild bumping and trace fray at corners. A half inch wide two inch long fountain pen ink stain along the rear hinge of the first volume. Foxing largely confined to the endpages and first and last few leaves. Mild stress to cloth at spine ends with just a little fray at the tail of Vol II. Laid in at front is a broadside prospectus for Benton's abridgement of Congressional debates between 1789 and 1856. Prior owner name written on rear endpaper of volume 2.
