4to 11" - 13" tall; 103 pages; 1930 Editions Kra. 1st edition. Large format paperback in the scarce, original glassine dust jacket. A mild nick to the dust jacket and cover stock at the crown. A s, all prior ownership ink stamp in the gutter of page 1. Several pages unopened along the top edge. Though suffering from the usual halo toning, this is really an exceptionally well preserved copy, quite uncommonly seen in the original dust jacket. VG++/VG++ or better. ... 118 Buechner, Frederick, The Entrance to Porlock.
New York Atheneum 1970 First Edition; First Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Fine dust jacket
8vo 8" - 9" tall; 270 pages; A very attractive copy, snug bright and fresh. Black cloth with gilt lettering to spine very bright; Buechner's name in blind to cover board. Edges sharp and unrubbed with crisp square corners. Dust jacket uniformly bright to all surfaces, with but a whisper of shelf evidence to spine ends. A rather mysterious set of very light circular "quarter-sized" overlapping impressions to the cloth of the rear board has no apparent cause. The tightly bound book feels unread and the crisp dust jacket has no corresponding set of impressions. As such it is very likely a matter of some imperfection in the cloth that existed prior to the book's binding. In any event it is superficial and does not detract from the superbly attractive condition of this very well preserved copy. NF/F-
