Cream vellum covered boards lightly soiled. A vertical stress to the spine has begun to crack. Small closed split in the vellum along the lower edge of the cover board. Contents clean and neat. Bound with frontis, title and prelims, followed by an unsigned 8 page catlog of works published by Coignard between 1660-1692. Mild yawn in the interior front hinge. Prior ownership of Prince Franz Joseph [?] of Liechtenstein with the Princes of Liechtenstein bookplate mounted to the front pastedown. Solid and complete example of this scarce 17th century philosophical tract, first published in 1667 and attributed to Claude Ameline. VG
