Hardcover in original red. 1/4 cloth backed spine with pictorial paper covered boards. Upper board embellished with a woodcut center panel depicting the Moravian Church at W. Orange and N. Market St. , with title lettering and ruling printed in black. Contents complete and boards attached but the binding is considerably shaken with some gapping between signatures of the internal binding and some signatures starting a little at front edge. Red cloth spine worn and rubbed with some fraying over edges and at ends. Contents generally clean. Profuse number of illustrated local business ads scattered throughout; an index to advertisers appears at rear and an errata sheet at front. Prior ownership and 1906 in neat manuscript to the front endpage. Shaken and worn but sound and complete. Uncommon. Fair to Good only

Cloth a little shelf rubbed and mildly stressed at spine ends. Dust jacket is clean with publisher's $4.50 issue price intact to the unclipped front flap. Jacket has shallow chips missing at the spine ends and mild nicks at flap corners. Author's inscription to the front endpage is neat and clean, dated March 12, 1968. Her signed letter, laid in at front, details some of the background of her family's realtionship to the book and of the research involved in its writing. A hard to find title, especially so signed.
