Philadelphia Charles Lentz & Sons 1923 Eighth Edition Hardcover Good+
Photographs & mechanical litho engravings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 511 pages; 8th edition of the highly regarded Philadelphia firm's catalog of surgical and medical supplies and apparatus. Issed with a price list from 1923 coded to the pages of the 2 part catalog. Bound in original pebbled purple cloth with title lettering in white to cover and spine. First part of the catalog is paged L1 to L104 and printed on yellow paper stock. Following is "Part A" paged from 1 - 416 and printed on traditional white stock. Profusely illustrated with litho engraved renderings of all items offered - typically 6 to 10 unique renderings per page. Indexed for both parts. Binding shaken; partial internal split in the binding between the title page and following page of text. Prior owner has used a white pencil to some pages of the price list, which is mounted to the front endpage - presumably to reflect out-of-date pricing. Front endpage partially split in the gutter. Cloth boards lightly rubbed at corner tips and spine ends. Finger soiling to the front edge of the page block. Decent and well preserved copy with clean bright contents. G+
