Folio 13" - 23" tall; 938 pages; Folio. 1st edition. Published as Vol I, though this was the only volume published. Title page in red & black. Soundly bound with original paneled calf boards, rebacked in a plain but supple matching color leather with basic title lettering struck in gilt to spine. Boards with same type leather over corners as a restoration. Inner joints reinforced with brown cloth tape. Contents complete and clean with light toning to margins of endpages and occasional superficial instances of soiling or spotting to pages of the text. Leather rebacked spine has some light scuffing to surfaces, mild fray and rubbing at spine ends and a short tear along the upper hinge from the bottom edge. Two short penned numeral strings to verso of title page indicate possible transitional library ownership but without any identifying stamps, marks or indications.
