8vo 8" - 9" tall; 306 pages; HC/DJ. 1st edition. A pretty tired and worn copy of this title which appears to have been published in a single edition and printing. This copy retired from library use. The dust jacket panels were mounted/glue onto a backing paper and then glued to the boards. The arresting deco styled front pictorial panel of the jacket (by Marianned Laftman) survives but with edge and surface rubbing and horizontal stresses from underlying paper. Spine panel essentially lost with 2/3 of the underlying paper extant. Rear panel toned and soiled with chips. Front free endpaper removed; prior ownership ink stamps of the University Library Inc to endpages and smaller sunc stamps to a few pages. Shelf cocked with rubbing and wear to bottom edges; publisher top stain fading and irregular. Despite the depradations, the binding surprisingly is still sound and the contents generally clean. This book is a survivor and with the jacket design still intact. As is maybe almost good
