These lines have been crossed out and in the middle of the page is a large drawing of a leaf inside of which well regarded bird expert, Orpheus Moyer Schantz, has inscribed a warm, complimetary note to the esteemed Rocky Mountain naturalist, Arthur Stupka. The drawing and signed inscription are dated 1939. A presumably prior note of ownership by a H. L Yeagley is penned to the top corner same page. The book itself is sound, though worn. Corners are well bumped with cloth abrasions at the corners; light fraying of cloth at spine ends. Cloth stressed and a little soiled to boards; hinges tender, A small dime sized damp stain in the gutter of the first handful of pages. Plates and engravings in good form.
